Additional Tiffen 52mm Photo Essentials Filter Kit Information
|
Protect your camera lens from ultraviolet light while boosting your artistic possibilities with the Tiffen Photo Essentials filter kit. The kit--which includes an ultraviolet filter, circular polarizer, and warming filter--is an ideal accessory for cameras with 52mm filter diameters. The ultraviolet filter prevents UV light from reaching the lens, helping increase clarity and reduce haze. As a result, your photos look crystal clear even in mountainous and coastal areas, where ultraviolet light is particularly strong. The circular polarizer, meanwhile, is essential for outdoor photography, as it deepens the intensity of blue skies and reduces or eliminates glare. (Note that the circular polarizer is designed expressly for autofocus cameras.) Finally, the kit offers an exclusive color-warming filter that improves the color of all skin tones. Ideal for portraits, the color-warming filter absorbs the blue cast often caused by electronic flashes or outdoor shade, adding warmth to pale, washed-out flesh tones. As a bonus, the kit includes a pouch for filter storage.

What Customers Say About Tiffen 52mm Photo Essentials Filter Kit:

That said, I've only worked with them when using b/w film, so maybe they have a better response with color. I've played with these filters numerous times and haven't been happy with the results.
These reviews don't help at all. Either the reviews are in the wrong place or the product is wrong. Get it right Amazon. The product is three tiffen close-up lenses. Why all the reviews on polarizing and warming filters.
It's quality is great and I don't foresee having any problems with it. I got this for landscape work to use in conjunction with a polarizer.
THEY HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH A SET OF 3 CLOSE-UP LENSES, which is what this prouct is, so in that regard, all of the reviews are worthless. All of the reviews for this product are for a set of three filters-- UV, polarizing, and something else.
I have since learned that multi-coated filters are the way to go and I went with B+W MRC filters due to the higher quality and outstanding reputation. At the end of the day, both are cheap filters and should not go any any lens if image quality is important. Do not be fooled by the implication that the Tiffen Digital Ultra Clear is somehow better than a standard UV filter or a higher end filter. I got horrible glare from the filter on my EF 35mm f/2, the same as I got with the basic UV Protector.
